who
we are
With
a background in the Staffordshire pottery business, Peter Weldon has been
in the forefront of Classical ceramic design since 1994. The use of original
manufacturing techniques and the combination of different mediums such
as hand painting, hardwood bases and lost wax cast bronze mounts, give
his pieces their unique edge. The varied collections draw inspiration
from European interior styles from the 18th & 19th Century.
TERRACOTTA
/ ANTICO ROSSO
In literal terms "From the red earth" one of the oldest forms
of modeling ceramics. The range consists of Urns, Classical figurines,
Groups of Putti, Animalier figures and many more beautifully modeled in
high-fired Terracotta.
PARIAN
OR BISCUIT WARE
Originally made to replicate Carrera marble this collection consists of
figurative pieces meticulously sculpted by a team of artists with great
attention to proportion and detail.
ST
CLOUD
Inspired by the work of the Sevres manufactory from 1740 - 1849, this
collection unites elegant ceramic bodies with intricate lost wax cast
bronze mounts.
ARMORIAL
COLLECTION
During the 18th & 19th century the great houses of Europe would send
hand painted copies of the family crest to Nanking in China, and vast
dinner services would be made with intricate designs. This collection
is inspired from this golden age, with classical designs strikingly hand
painted.
TULIPIERES
The tulip bulb became a more valuable currency than gold in 17th century
Europe and their blooms were safely displayed within a tulipiere and its
many trumpet openings. Each piece is handpainted with a Dutch naive cobalt
design, true to the original tulipieres from 1690's.
CREAMWARE
The Original creamware collection combines classical shapes with
intricate detail, drawing reference from European creamware designs of
the 18th century.
